August 6, 2010; Foreclosure Filings Drop Dramatically In ColoradoForeclosure filings in Colorado for the second quarter of 2010 dropped 15.7 percent from the second quarter of 2009, to a total of 10,233. Foreclosures in the Denver area for the second quarter of 2010 dropped 30 percent from the second quarter of 2009, to a total of only 1,134. Right now there are only 27 bank owned homes listed for sale in Evergreen, and only 16 in Conifer.
However, there has been a large increase in foreclosure filings in many of the rural areas of Colorado; including Eagle County, where filings jumped 51 percent, and Summit County, where filing jumped 23 percent.
