June 17, 2010: Foreclosures Down In The United States, Colorado, Evergreen and ConiferAccording to Realty Trac, foreclosure filings in May dropped 3% from April; and were up only 1% from May, 2009. Once again, Nevada, Arizona and Florida posted the top foreclosure rates, and ten states accounted for 70% of the national total. In a definite sign of an improving real estate market, properties receiving default notices for May was down 7% from April, and down 22% from May, 2009. Foreclosures are down in Colorado, and specifically for Evergreen and Conifer. In fact, in Evergreen and Conifer foreclosures and “short sales” are becoming less and less a consideration.
