July 1, 2010; Pending Home Sales Fall In MayAccording to the National Association of Realtors, pending home sales for May fell 30% from April, to its lowest level since they started tracking it in 2001. This decline comes after three months of increases in pending home sales, spurred on by Buyers trying to take advantage of the government tax credit, which expired April 30th. According to Lawrence Yun, the National Association of Realtors’ chief economist, job creation was essential for the “housing market to stand on its own”.
